Tom and Sarah, Dubai Hills Grove
Tom and Sarah, a British couple in Dubai Hills Grove, started training together as a buddy pair after their second child was born. Sarah wanted to rebuild her core strength postpartum, and Tom needed to reverse 10kg of "working from home" weight gain. Neither had the time or energy to drive to a gym and back.
Their trainer now arrives at 6:30am, three mornings a week, while the kids are still asleep. They train in the villa garden using all necessary equipment their trainer brings. Sarah's postnatal recovery program focused on core stability and progressive loading. Tom's program targeted fat loss and upper body strength.
Their dietitian created separate meal plans for each of them that still worked for family dinners. No one was cooking two different meals. Within 5 months, Sarah was stronger than she'd been before pregnancy, and Tom was down 9kg. They now train as part of their morning routine, not something they have to carve time out for.
